Bio: Anatol Duendar
Anatol and his wife moved to New York from Freiburg im Breisgau in March 2015. In May 2015, their son Malik was born in Manhattan. They live in the Upper East Side. After 12 years in civil engineering and project management, he now manages the daily schedule and household of the family and works part-time at a game cafe and with CityKinder. With his experience in music making and youth work, Anatol has been leading the Paulchenbande since January 2016 and accompanies the songs with guitar, percussions and the flute. He is also happy to share his insights into the male view of parenthood.
With Malik he enjoys a lot of outdoor activities, such as NYC’s zoos, music events, museums and he is always on the hunt for free and cool events. In his free time he loves to play (and explain) board- and card games and to play Ultimate Frisbee.
Anatol likes the whole idea of CityKinder, which is all about connecting new and experienced German-speaking parents in this exciting city. He is looking forward to be a part of it for a long time and support the team with his energy and ideas.
