All About Mom (Support) Groups

 

All About Mom Groups (For new Moms with Babies 0-6 months)

CityKinder periodically hosts weekly support groups for new mothers. Meet with a small, supportive group of women who share the same experience of bringing up a baby far away from most of their friends and family. This is a unique opportunity for new German-speaking moms to support and get to know one another, as well as gather resources, ask questions, and ease into motherhood, no matter if you are a seasoned New Yorker or just arrived. 

  • Meet other German-speaking moms in your neighborhood!
  • Understand and navigate the cultural gap of child rearing in the U.S.
  • Get access to valuable, first-hand parenting resources in New York City.
  • Make friends with moms who are going through the same phase in life. They might be your most cherished resource for years to come! 

CityKinder’s new mom groups are led by Gabi Hegan, a fellow mom and 12 year New York veteran, and Claudia Bradl, a former teacher and alum of an All About Mom Group herself.

Location: Epic Security Building, 2067 Broadway @ 72nd Street, 5th Floor - Othello Room

If the weather is nice and the groups agrees, some sessions could be in outside in Central Park (near W 72nd Street entrance)

This class is held in German!

Notes: Yoga mats will be provided, but please bring a blanket for your baby. Feel free to feed, comfort, or change your baby at any time during class - everyone is in the same situation!
