Part Time Office Manager for a Thriving Doula and Lactation Consultation Practice in New York City.

- Job location: Remote from home. In the beginning we’d have some in-person meetings in Brooklyn/Cobble Hill (approximately once a week after initial training period)
- Description of the company: The New York Baby connects expecting families, as well as those with newborns, to a network of certified, highly-trained, and vetted professionals, including birth doulas, postpartum doulas, baby specialists, and lactation consultants. Our mission is to provide compassionate, expert support to families during one of the most important times of their lives
- Description of the job duties:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and compassionate part-time Office Manager to assist with the smooth operation of our growing practice. In this role, you will manage administrative tasks, client communications, and support marketing efforts, all while maintaining a caring and professional approach to customer service.
- Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to client inquiries via email and phone
- Conduct client sales calls and follow up with potential clients
- Prepare contracts, invoices, and healthcare billing documents
- Organize and post events, workshops, and classes on platforms like Eventbrite
- Ensure doulas and baby nurses’ certifications and training are up to date
- Maintain and update client contact lists
- Attend quarterly doula meetings in Brooklyn
- Assist in organizing and supporting charity initiatives we are involved with
- Contribute to social media efforts (Facebook, Mailchimp, Instagram) if you have relevant experience

- Candidate requirements:
- Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus)

- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and empathy
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., scanners, printers)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Creative and able to contribute ideas for improvements
- Experience managing social media campaigns (Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram) is a plus
- Flexibility with work hours, including availability for evenings and weekends
- Caring, confidential, and empathetic approach to client interactions
- Knowledge of the doula profession in the U.S. is preferred
- Familiarity with New York City and its neighborhoods is a plus

- Compensation (contract/1099 payment): $22 per hour
