We are proud to announce that In September 2017 PS 17 will offer the first German Dual Language Program in a NYC public school! Children in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will benefit from this in the first year, and the goal is for the program to expand up to 5th grade with the possibility of students continuing German Dual Language at MS 577.
The school is working very closely with the Department of Education, including the supportive team of the District 14 Superintendent, and a group of dedicated parents. The curriculum will be developed in close cooperation with the Goethe Institut, a non-profit German cultural association operating worldwide to promote the study of the German language abroad and foster cultural exchange and international relations.
